The Molly Ringwald of this generation

If you're unfamiliar with Molly Ringwald, she is the face of the 80s and teenagers of that generation. She represented all of the quirkiness and awkwardness that a teenager goes through. She epitomizes all of the 80s awesomeness. Emma Stone is and does all that, but in the age of Blackberries, iPhones, and social networking. From Superbad to Easy A, she's represented the average high school girl that gets caught up in the confusion and chaos that is high school in this tech savvy generation.

The more I see movies with Emma Stone, the more I'm convinced that she really is the Molly Ringwald of this generation.

Mark my words, people!

Confession: I wish I were a teenager in the 80s. I realize it was the generation of tacky clothes, scrunchies, spandex and horrible hair...but I love it! It was also the generation of leggings, off-the-shoulder shirts and neon colored accessories. It was the decade of Flashdance, Footloose, and Sixteen Candles. It was undeniably a fun decade that I wish I didn't spend spitting up Gerbers.
