The Molly Ringwald of this generation

If you're unfamiliar with Molly Ringwald, she is the face of the 80s and teenagers of that generation. She represented all of the quirkiness and awkwardness that a teenager goes through. She epitomizes all of the 80s awesomeness. Emma Stone is and does all that, but in the age of Blackberries, iPhones, and social networking. From Superbad to Easy A, she's represented the average high school girl that gets caught up in the confusion and chaos that is high school in this tech savvy generation.
The more I see movies with Emma Stone, the more I'm convinced that she really is the Molly Ringwald of this generation.
Mark my words, people!
Confession: I wish I were a teenager in the 80s. I realize it was the generation of tacky clothes, scrunchies, spandex and horrible hair...but I love it! It was also the generation of leggings, off-the-shoulder shirts and neon colored accessories. It was the decade of Flashdance, Footloose, and Sixteen Candles. It was undeniably a fun decade that I wish I didn't spend spitting up Gerbers.
Beat the beat yo
I'm in LOVE with the fact that I know people with such amazing talent.
Get ready to be blown away by this Egyptian acoustic rock band,
Digla with their premiere video "Highlights"
I love the video, it makes me so nostalgic for the soulful streets of Cairo...
Enjoy!

A Sneak Peak of H st.
So a couple of weekends ago, a few friends and I headed down to H street for the annual DC H St Festival, which was super awesome. While my friends enjoyed fried food and beer, I took advantage of the opportunity to take pictures of people out and about. It was an awesome experience just walking around, people watching, and soaking it all up.
The pictures have yet to be uploaded but here's one I took on our way there...
I'm also in love with this picture that my friend took of us, also referred to as our emo band album cover/ending scene to an 80s movie right before the credits roll.
More to come soon!

What I'm Studying...
The following videos basically summarize my masters program:
Communication, Culture, and Technology.
Why Its Time to Stop Paying Attention to Lady Gaga
Finally!
Could not have said this better myself!
A MUST READ:
It's about damn time
I finally did it!
Seeing as how I am way too outspoken at times, love writing with a passion, and am currently pursuing my masters degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology...I figured it was about time to start my own blog.
I’m a loud-mouthed, overly opinionated girl who loves writing, music, traveling, photography, and reading. I'm intellectually promiscuous. I get excited at the thought of thought itself and the production that results from creativity.
This is a work in progress, I'm not sure where I want it to lead but I do know I'll be putting up some of my photos, lyrics I love, music I love...and well, pretty much anything else I love.
So come back, because I'm just getting started...
